The Laboratory at Pratt Healthcare performs outpatient diagnostic testing for patients of all ages, from any provider.  Service is provided on a first come, first served walk-in basis at four conveniently located sites.  Timed studies, such as Glucose Tolerance Testing, are scheduled in advance by calling 540-785-7850.

Our staff consists of trained and experienced phlebotomists and professional, nationally registered medical laboratory technologists.

STAT testing for influenza, strep throat, urine pregnancy, and UTI can be done at any of our four locations.  All other testing is performed at our main lab location conveniently located off of Route 3 at 12101 Carol Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.  We offer rapid turnaround time on all in-house testing.  Most insurance plans are accepted and testing will be sent to the appropriate reference lab if required by insurance.

Upon entering one of our locations, you will be asked to present your insurance card and proof of identification to ensure billing accuracy.  Orders from Pratt Healthcare providers will be electronically accessed.  For all other providers, you will be asked for a written order from the provider.  Results will be faxed upon completion.  We will also ask about food and drink consumption.  Certain therapeutic drug testing requires a minimum time after ingestion before specimens can be collected.  Follow your provider’s instructions regarding fasting or taking of medications.  Laboratory orders are valid for one year, unless otherwise noted on the order.  Standing orders need to be updated annually.
